The Village is a merchant community with over 90% of the businesses being locally owned. The Village covers the areas from Arapahoe Road to Canyon Boulevard and Folsom Street on to 28th Street in Boulder. The Village is one gigantic square of shopping and dining.
Many of these businesses and restaurants have been in business for fifteen years and some as long as fifty years. During your trip to The Village you can find anything from a quick cup of coffee to a romantic dinner and everything in between.
In this square area of shopping and dining you will find stores that offer fashion, kids items, home furnishings, food, and services. The Village is a place where you can start out shopping in the morning, stop to have lunch, shop some more, and then have a romantic dinner.
If you have a dirty dog, take him or her with you to the Green Dog Wash, where they offer a self-service wash and full service grooming. You can bathe your dog in a cool setting that will help eliminate muddy paw prints in your house and help save Mother Earth. They also have eco-friendly dog treats and toys. You can learn about green pet care and can mingle with other dog lovers.
Some of the other services they offer is a dentist office, an eyewear shop, Boulder Ski Deals, Cricket Communications, a cleaners, a beauty shop and barber shop, Planned Parenthood, and so much more.
The home furnishing stores include a Euro Bath and Tile, a mattress shop, a hardware shop, a home import store, and a bed and bath shop.
For the kids, you have Grandrabbit’s Toy Shoppe, Rocky Mountain Kids, Pedestrian Shops and several more. Also in the kid’s listing of stores is a beauty shop that caters just to children called Lollilocks and specializes in the right cuts and styles of today for children.
When it comes to eating, you fill find yourself with several different restaurants to choose from such as Berry Best Smoothie, Cuba Cuba Sandwicheria, Extreme Pita, Larkburger, Zolo Grill, and Tokyo Joe’s.
A new store is set to open in June 2011 called Foma Furniture. This store will offer Contemporary and Scandinavian furniture. This store has been providing service in Colorado since 2004. Also opening in late May or early June will be the Cuba Cuba Sanwicheria, which will be bringing Cuban food to Boulder. Extreme Pita will also be opening in June.
