The city of Denver is a great place to eat sushi, believe it or not. Although Denver is a landlocked state, Denver International Airport is a big business stop point and perfect for delivering fresh fish from the coasts.
There are many sushi restaurants in Colorado to try out and when it comes to some of the best Denver restaurants for sushi, Sushi Den, Banzai Sushi and Taigun are a must.

Sushi Den in Denver is a highly attractive sushi bar both for the atmosphere and the quality of sushi. Having served the Emperor of Japan, Sushi Den has received excellent reviews from the New York Times, Zagat Top 400 Restaurants, Forbes, Frommers, Denver Post, 5280, Westword and 7 News A List.
The sushi has such a fresh taste because the chefs order from the fish market in Japan and hand selects each fish from the boat sent to Denver.
Plan ahead if you visit Sushi Den on a weekend because they do not take reservations and it’s guaranteed to be busy with street parking.

Banzai Sushi is a more quiet and intimate Denver restaurant compared to Sushi Den. Although the restaurant is small, it is very open with cozy decorations. They are home of “100 Rolls” with a variety of fun and funky flavors.
Banzai Sushi has won Best of Citysearch from 2005-2009 and voted Top Sushi Restaurant by Channel 7’s A-list in 2009.

Taigun is a local favorite in Colorado. Though it has not yet won local awards, don’t let that sway you as the portions are large and the sushi delicious. Taigun features fine Japanese cuisine and delicious Asian fusion.
It is also the smallest of these three Denver restaurants and perfect for a quiet evening with significant others, families and friends.
