The Denver Montclair International School (DMIS) was started over 30 yeas ago by French parents who wanted their children to received instruction in French language and culture.  In 1990, the program created by these parents was accredited by the French Ministry of Education.  Since that time, the school has expanded to offer full immersion classes in German, Spanish, and Chinese to students 3 years old through 5th grade.  The school has also received letters of recommendation from the Spanish ministry of education and has received accreditation by the Chinese Ministry of Education.

The school supports different educational charities in the Denver area including the Half the Sky Foundation.  This group works to provide care for orphans living in China.  On May 12th, parents, teachers, and other administrative staff from the school will be attending the Denver Community Celebration.  This celebration will be held at the Four Season Hotel in downtown Denver.  For more information on the event, contact the staff at the Half the Sky Foundation at  http://www.halfthesky.org/

The school will also hold a DMIS Daughter Dance on Sunday, May 15th.  This event will take place from 5:30pm to 7:30 pm in the DMIS gym.  Tickets are $35.00 for each girl and her adult dance partner.  Dance partners can include a father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, aunt, friend of the family, or adult sibling.  Tickets must be purchased by May 9th.  Contact the school for more information at 303-340-3647.

The school also has after school programs for children and adults.  Children ages 5 and up can take classes in Fencing, Violin, Acting, Sewing, Cheerleading, Dance, Taw Kwon Do, Cooking, Art, and Soccer.  Adult classes include Chinese and Yoga. Fees for the after school programs vary.  For more information, go to http://www.dmischool.com/academics/after-school-workshops/

In addition to after school programs, the school also has an award winning summer camp for students that want to learn a language or for students who just want to play sports.  Students can sign up for language camp, sports camp or variety camps.  The summer camp session runs from June 13th to August 19th.  One camp session is for children ages 10 to 12, another session is for children ages 5 to 9, while another is geared to children ages 3 and 4.  For more information on the camp programs, fees, and the registration process, look at the online brochure at:
