A beautiful, first-rate suburb of Denver that boasts a history dating back to 1870 is Arvada. Parts of the city retain the primitive look with well-kept trees, quiet neighbourhoods, and a mixture of locally owned businesses. The region provides splendid shopping and dining experiences and is connected to the main city of Denver through the freeway and local routes. The town is listed as one of the great centers for the arts and humanities and is a multi-cultural region.
The city offers a variety of features from theatre productions to educational arts and cultural events. One such event is Arvada Trails Day, which will be held on June 4th, 2011. The event details are summarized as follows:
- Location: Majestic View Nature Center located at 7030 Garrison Street
- Another Location: Two Ponds National Wild Refugee located on W. 80th Avenue, east of Kipling Street.
- Times: 10:00 am to 02:00 pm
- Ticket: Admission is free; it is an event for the whole family.
The Event: The 10th annual Arvada Trails Day is a fun activity for all its residents and tourists. The day is a gathering of people of all generations. 2010 saw three generations at the event.
This summer day will be packed with hiking, biking, and horseback riding along the best trails in the town along the foothills. The day hosts more fun as well because the National Trail Day is merged with this event. There is the 5K walk, a 20 mile bicycle ride, nature exhibits, live animal presentations, an eco-fair, and many more outdoor activities.
The Majestic View Park encompasses over 80 acres of beauty, which includes lakes, wetlands, interpretive trails, and prairie grasslands. The wildlife of the region is seen all throughout the park.
Two Ponds National Wild Refugee is another natural attraction of Arvada with 72 acres of land that includes 63 acres of upland and 9 acres of wetland. The mountain regions provide for more than 125 miles of hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The region embraces fun with learning, all of which is overshadowed by nature and wildlife.
Arvada Trails Day is a fun day for all ages. There is a lot to explore and enjoy in the two natural habitats in Arvada. The event is produced by the Arvada Festivals Commission, Majestic View Nature Center, Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge, and Arvada Parks Advisory Committee.
Participants need to arrive at the location before it starts and have a full day fun and training in all the planned activities.
