Apex Parks in Arvada

The Apex Park and Recreation District in northeast Jefferson County in Arvada is a place for fun and frolic for kids (and adults) of all ages. It hosts a plethora of recreational activities for different ages giving the ultimate multi-generational fun. It has room for a number of indoor and outdoor games as well as a fitness center and ice rink. The recreation park facilitates a thoughtful pattern of activities to keep all its participants engaged. Various facilities delivered to the public include:

  • The Apex Center ice arena: – located at the 13150 72nd Avenue, Arvada, this arena can be contacted by phone at 303-403-2598, which reaches the manager’s desk.
  • Garrison Street Sports Center: – located at 9101 Ralston Road, Arvada, this facility operates from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and admissions and tickets or general questions can be directed to the manager at 303-431-7244
  • Indian Tree Golf Course: – With its hub at 7555 Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada, the operational manager can be reached at 303-403-2541.
  • George J. Meyer pool: – Located at 7900 Carr Drive, Arvada, 303-467-7111 can be dialed to speak with the aquatic manager.
  • Racquet Ball and Fitness Center: – Situated at 12120 W. 64th Avenue, Arvada, 303-431-9004 is the contact number. The hours of working vary depending on the day of the week. Monday to Thursday—5:30 am to 09:00 pm, Friday—5:30 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday—7:00 am to 1:00 pm, Sunday—8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Closed on Christmas, New Years and Easter Sunday.
  • Community Recreation Center:- Located at 6842 Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada, 303-403-9583 reaches the supervisor. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 8:15 am to 5:00 pm and Friday 8:15 to 4:00 pm

Other facilities at the park include the Harold D. Lutz Sports Complex, Long Lake Ranch, Stenger Soccer Complex, Youth Memorial Sports Complex. All activities are managed by Terry Goldwater, who can be reached at 303-424-2739.

Special events scheduled in April are:

  • April 17th: – The 9 Health Fair returns to the Apex Center.
  • April 19th: – Two Buck Tuesdays at the Apex Center, which is an all day event.
  • April 20th: – Active Minds present Princess Diana.

With many more events like the parents night out, kids night out, and so on, Apex parks are flooded with activities all throughout the month of April and beyond. To match up with the diversities in passion, the park has arranged special computer and art classes for the people.
