admin September 14, 2010 0

It’s that time again for every Colorado beer lover’s favorite festival. Oktoberfest Denver is named one of the best festivals in the Nation by USA TODAY. This beer festival spans two weekends starting September 17-19 and September 24-26 in downtown Denver. Admission is free.

Beer is provided by Coors and Sam Adams while celebrations take place between 20th St. and 22nd St. on Larimer in the Ballpark Neighborhood of downtown Denver. Purchase 20 oz Coors or 16 oz Sam Adams cups or throw in more for a stein to carry around and refill. There will be two stages for live music and dancing, the Rock Stage and the German Stage.

For those who feel like a little exercise before drinking in Denver, sign up for the Das Hustlehoff 5K run in your best Baywatch or Night Rider outfits.

Kids are allowed at the Denver Oktoberfest with a karnival for kids. There will also be Corporate Games, Oktoberfest Olympics, Long Dog Derby and a costume contest spread out over the two weekends.

If hunger strikes during drinking bouts then head over to one of the following food vendors:

  • Colorado Buffalo Grille
  • Alpine Sausage Company
  • The Oktoberfest Restaurant
  • The Goods
