The Boulder ballet is back this November with America’s favorite ballet, the Nutcracker. The Nutcracker will perform with the Boulder Philharmonic and Boulder Ballet at University of Colorado’s Macky Auditorium.
Richard Oldberg will be conducting the performance featuring Tchaikovsky’s 1892 adaptation of “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” by E.T.A. Hoffman. The Nutcracker is the most popular ballet during Christmas and also considered an American tradition to watch. Tchaikovsky also made Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty.
The Boulder Ballet’s cast will feature over eighty dancers and a live orchestra. Denver Nutcracker follows Clara as she grows from a child to an adult during her dream. Boulder is one of two Denver metro area companies that offer a full-scale production in a grand opera house setting.
Fun for the whole family from Denver to Boulder, tickets are $15 – $82.
Show times are:
Friday, November 26 – 4 p.m.
Saturday, November 27 – 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
